Need help logging on to HSBCnet?

You now need to use HSBCnet to bank online. We've set up profiles in HSBCnet for users and administrators who had profiles in SVB Online Banking. We sent emails to each of these users and administrators in June and July, with instructions on how to log on to HSBCnet.

What to do if you can’t locate the email we sent

The emails we sent in June and July came from either hsbcnetglobalsupport@hsbc.com or alert@info.hsbcnet.com.

If you don’t have these emails, please take the following steps:

  • Check your spam or junk folder in case the email has landed there.
  • If you still can’t locate the email, go to hsbcnet.com and select ‘log on’ then try entering your temporary user ID, which is your old SVB Online Banking user ID with the addition of _TEMP (example: 1234_TEMP).
  • You will then receive an authentication email providing further instructions. Please check your spam or junk folder if you don’t receive it.

Setting up payments in HSBCnet - you need to set approval limits before you can approve payments in HSBCnet

You won’t be able to approve and complete any payments until System Administrators in your business have set approval limits on your signature groups.

  • We’ve already created signature groups for you in HSBCnet. They are based on the permissions and approval limits you previously had set-up in SVB Online Banking.
  • System Administrators in your business need to log on to HSBCnet and set the approval limits for these signature groups.

Go to our Maintain Signature Limits guide for help with this or watch this video.

Information about debit cards, Business Charge Cards and Virtual Cards

If your business uses our debit cards or Business Charge Cards, we’ve issued new ones for you.

New debit cards have been sent to the registered address we hold for you. Business Charge Cards have been sent to the administrator of your card programme.

If you’re waiting for a new card

Most of our clients have now received their new cards. If you’re still waiting to receive yours, we’re sorry about the delay and any inconvenience this is causing.

All cards were dispatched between 27 August 2023 and 4 August 2023 and most should now be delivered, however, we expect final deliveries to take place by the early half of week commencing 7 August 2023. If you are based outside of the UK, this may take longer.

If you haven’t received your new cards by 9 August 2023, please contact your Relationship Management team or call your Client Service team using the details at the top of this page – they’ll be able to confirm the address we’ve sent your cards to.
