Bekah Hanlon is the Global Head of Business Management & Operations for Innovation Banking at HSBC. In this role, Bekah is responsible for driving operational strategy and execution across the global platform, with a focus on scaling client acquisition, accelerating speed to market, and enhancing the client experience for founders and investors. She also continues to lead the U.S. Relationship Advisor practice, ensuring consistent, high-touch support for HSBC’s innovation banking clients.
As a senior leader within Innovation Banking, Bekah plays a critical role in integrating operational excellence with client-focused solutions, helping HSBC deliver the speed, agility, and depth of support that high-growth companies require. She works closely with cross-functional teams to improve and operationalize frontline and client processes, products, and tools that meet the evolving needs of entrepreneurs and their investors.
Prior to assuming her current role, Bekah served as Head of Operations for Innovation Banking at HSBC, where she led core infrastructure development to support HSBC’s entry and expansion in the innovation economy. She joined HSBC after a successful tenure at Silicon Valley Bank (SVB), where she held several leadership positions including Head of Relationship Advisors. At SVB, she built and led high-performing teams that delivered tailored financial solutions to founders and investors across the technology and life sciences sectors. Prior to HSBC and SVB, Bekah spent time in various leadership roles over the course of a decade at Wells Fargo and JPMorgan Chase.
Bekah earned her bachelor’s degree from Elon University. Based in San Francisco, Hanlon brings extensive experience in business operations, relationship management, and organizational growth. Her career reflects a consistent focus on empowering innovative companies through tailored financial solutions and operational excellence.
